History

In january 2007, the 'Centre for high temperature processes, metallurgy and refractory materials' was established as a University of Leuven Research Centre. It forms now 'The Centre for High Temperature Processes and Sustainable Materials Management' and consists of a co-operation between the research group 'High Temperature Processes and Industrial Ecology' (dept. MTM) and leading materials and recycling companies, including Aperam, Umicore, Orbix and Metallo. The Centre is closely affiliated with CR³ and SIM².
