Our mission is to support all our industrial partners in developing more sustainable  high-temperature  processes using a problem-driven, deep-science approach

 

History

In january 2007, the 'Centre for high temperature processes, metallurgy and refractory materials' was established as a Univeristy of Leuven Research Centre. It forms now 'The Centre for High Temperature Processes and Sustainable Materials Management' and consists of a co-operation between the research group 'High Temperature Processes and Industrial Ecology' (dept. MTM) and leading materials and recycling companies, including Aperam, Umicore,Group Machiels and Recmix. The Centre is closely affiliated with CR³ and SIM².

 

 

 

Current partners

The current Centre partners are Umicore, Aperam, Group Machiels, Orbix (former Recmix) and Metallo. The Centre is open for new members.
