You are kindly invited to the Res Metallica symposium “Multi-scale modeling of materials” on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 13:20 in the "Aula van de Tweede Hoofdwet", Kasteelpark Arenberg 41, 3001 Heverlee. The symposium is organised by the Department of Materials Engineering, KU Leuven and sponsored by ArcelorMittal, Gent/OCAS and Umicore.

Thanks to the recent developments in multi-scale materials models and materials informatics, our materials knowledge and insights will grow largely in the coming years. These techniques will also enable us to discover and deploy new materials with complex combinations of properties at an increasing rate, lower cost and in an environmentally friendly way. In this symposium, 4 inspiring talks will be given by leaders in this emerging research field.
