We have a change in venue of the BSTE 2016

Welcome to BSTE 2016!

It is our great pleasure to announce the “4th Belgian Symposium on Tissue Engineering (BSTE) 2016”, themed "Shaping a Quantitative Framework for Tissue Regeneration". This event will be held 14-15 April 2016, at the conference center of "Provinciehuis Vlaams-Brabant", Provincieplein 1, Leuven, Belgium.

This two-day national symposium is organized by Prometheusthe division of Skeletal Tissue Engineering of the KU Leuven  (

The BSTE 2016 aims at bringing scientists worldwide together to discuss frontline research in the rapidly expanding field of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Additionally, this event is held to encourage initial contact and act as meeting platform to promote scientific networking and potential research collaborations at both national and international levels.

Main topics include:

  • Engineering complex scaffolds and advanced materials
  • Molecular mechanisms of regeneration
  • Quantitative imaging technologies and optogenetics
  • Recapitulating developmental biology principles
  • Multiscale modeling and predictive modeling
  • Enabling technologies for TE and regenerative medicine
  • Manufacturing of regenerative medicines from lab bench to industry

Confirmed speakers:

Participants are invited to submit a meeting abstract for poster presentation.

Abstracts reporting on outstanding scientific breakthroughs will be selected for “Young Scientist Forum” sessions.
